We hope all SOCES students had a great first week back to school. Our first meeting of the year is Wednesday, September 10th at 8:00 PM at WOS. Agenda (view here) includes a vote on the slate of officers and on the PTA's operating budget for 2014-15; information on volunteer opportunities and our programs, events, and fundraisers planned for the year, and a discussion of the issues many faced with the busses.
Volunteers will also be available to help you sign up for to help with upcoming events, particularly school photos, and you'll be able to pay your membership dues on the spot. We hope you will join us.
Decisions about our children's education, about Common Core and state testing and about funding for our schools will all be made this week by the Governor and the legislator. Now, more than ever, your voice is needed. Please visit our new Advocacy page (see the drop-down menu above) for details on how you can contact our elected officials and tell them enough is enough.
