Teacher Appreciation Week

We are so excited to celebrate our beloved staff during Teacher Appreciation Week!  This year Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12.  We need your help, and we have something for all of you to do at your convenience.  This week can not happen without your generosity of both time and supplies.  Our staff deserves the world, and it is our honor to treat them to a special week thanks to our amazing families in SOCSD!  If you have any questions, please contact Cristina Williams at cristinawilliams18@gmail.com.

Calling for Volunteers & Donations!

For those of you who would love an opportunity to volunteer in the school building, please sign up for a set up crew or a clean up crew. Not going to make it in person, no worries, you can send supplies for one or multiple days, whatever you are comfortable with. You can drop off any of the supplies for the staff appreciation at the main office.  PLEASE LABEL YOUR DONATION WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME, TEACHER AND WHICH DAY IT IS FOR.  Be sure to have your donation at the school BEFORE the day of the event.  The day of the event will be too late, since most of the events are happening BEFORE the students arrive at school.

Send a Thank You Note

One of the most meaningful gifts a teacher can receive is a note of appreciation from their students and their families.  We are asking the students to write a card or draw a picture to tell your teacher how sweet to be taught by them!  (Kindness, Caring, Patient, Funny, Taught me new things...). Those cards will be sent in on Monday of Teacher Appreciation Week.  Click the link below for a picture you could use, or feel free to create your own!
